Student interactions

One of our stops was in Hollandale, Mississippi where we spent a few hours with kids from Simmons High School. We talked with the students and learned about the differences and similarities between our everyday lives. The entire trip thus far has included visiting important sites and cities and talking to many different adults, but our experience at Simmons gave us the opportunity to interact with people our own age. It also helped better our understanding of life in a small southern town, something that is extremely foreign to most of us.
