Hearing a word

Walking along with legions. We attended church at one of the most important if already the top churches in history Ebenezer Baptist Church. Sitting in the church hearing the word kindled a light or fire within me to be about change in the world and not just sit by and complain. The church poured in information like water into cup into each individual. Most people think only a church is a place for praise but it is also a place that moves people to make a chance like they did with us. After church we met a very influential person in the movement named Mr. Andrew Young. Meeting Mr. Young it was a honor. Mr. Young gave a very interesting insight into the life of the Civil Rights movement. Mr. Young encouraged us that we can change the world if we just try. While with Mr. Young he taught us a song that we could sing when we get scared or feel discouraged. This song motivated all of us to come home and change our community. After this I walked along the same path as MLK. We went to the new and old Ebenezer Baptist church, MLK and Coretta S. King final resting place, and his child hood home. It was just such amazing sight to see and I absorbed it all like a sponge. Next we went to Selma. Salem is the one of the highlights during the civil rights movement. Being in the same place is just so moving.
