Expanding my knowledge. Today we spent the
whole day in a historical place, Montgomery, Alabama. We walked through this
beautiful city and every turn we made there was so many sites to see like
marks of the bus stop that rose parks stood on. I think the best part of today
was going to the only Rosa Parks museum in the United States. When you first
walk into the museum you are captivated by these one of a kind sculptures of
Rosa Parks. As we were given the tour of the museum many of unknown facts of
Rosa Parks were uncovered. For instance, most people do not know that Rosa
Parks was not the first person to give up her sit she is exactly the 4th women
to do that. This museum was very different then most museum that I ever been
in. This museum had a part the reenacted what exactly happened on the bus that
Rosa Parks was on. The museum also hit on points about the aftermath of Rosa
Parks actions and the end results. In this museum I learned a lot more about the
Rosa Parks then any textbook could ever teach me. After leaving the The Rosa
Parks museum we had lunch and sat in first of the capital building in
Montgomery, Alabama. Sitting in front of this building had an amazing view of
the whole city. Looking at this beautiful view of the city it made realize why
Martin Luther King Jr. choose this place because everybody could see them and
understand they meant business. Finally, we went to the Civil Right Museum. In
this museum they showed all people in the civil rights movement from leaders to
even people that were not even in the physical movement was shown in the
museums. I am ever grateful for this trip
