Beale Street--Home of the Blues--was definitely
one of the highlights from this trip. I've never been to a place so exuberant
and exciting before.
We hopped off of the bus, and the first thing that we could see was the FedEx arena where the Memphis Grizzlies were going to be playing the Toronto Raptors that night.
The excitement of being in a new city swallowed me up like a lion that just caught a gazelle. We were literally walking on history, past the various Elvis gift shops, and restaurants where you could hear live blues music.
I gathered into my group of five people who I'd be traveling with the entire night and there was an instant spark--a connection that I hadn't yet felt on this trip. I finally realized that all of the bonding activities and bus rides had a reason behind them--to open yourself up and to absorb the energy around you.
